It acts as a substrate- adapter for CUL3-RING ubiquitin ligase complexes which mediate the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of TCHP, a protein involved in ciliogenesis down-regulation . May be involved in endoplasmic reticulum calcium ion homeostasis .
